From instant licenses to incubators, to affordable schools and works of art popping up all over the city, Abu Dhabi's 50 billion AED ($ 13.6 billion) program accelerates the development of Abu Dhabi as a place where businesses, innovative ideas and diverse people can not only grow, but thrive.
Imagined by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed ben Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates, Ghadan 21 was launched to support and carry out the transformation of the economy, the knowledge ecosystem and communities of the emirate from 2019 to 2021.
Ghadan 21 initiatives are designed to have an impact on two levels. First, on the local population, who will see their city transformed, transport renovated, education systems improved and jobs created. Then, in a broader context, these programs are a means of preparing the economy of Abu Dhabi and its workforce for the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution by accelerating its transition to a knowledge-based economy and strengthening its position as a global innovation hub.
