The Moroccan National Tourist Office has just announced that the French airline, Air France, will strengthen its presence in Morocco through the launch, in summer 2021, of a new air link between Paris-Charles airports. de Gaulle and Tanger-Ibn Battouta.
Thus, from June 3, 2021, Air France will connect the French capital to the city of the Straits at the rate of a maximum of 3 weekly flights (Thursday / Sunday in June, Tuesday / Friday / Sunday in July / August), thus confirming the attractiveness of the destination for French tourists. “This is a great opportunity to connect not only Tangier to the French capital but also to take advantage of the company's Paris hub to connect northern Morocco to European and global markets”, underlines, Adel El Fakir, Managing Director of the ONMT.
Thanks to its partnership with the Tourist Office, Air France is thus strengthening its presence in Morocco where the company already serves all year round from the French capital, the cities of Marrakech, Casablanca, Rabat and in summer the city of 'Agadir.
For its summer 2021 program, the company intends to program a total of 277,950 seats, reinforced in particular by 10,036 seats set up as part of the Paris-Tangier line. Through this partnership, ONMT confirms the positioning of the Tangier region as a major destination for national tourism and responds to a fundamental axis of the region's development, based in particular on strengthening its accessibility and connectivity.
