MOROCCO, TUNISIA: NEWS FROM TAP AIR PORTUGAL

The airline TAP Air Portugal has inaugurated four new routes in Lisbon, to Agadir and Oujda in Morocco and to Monastir and Djerba in Tunisia.

In Morocco, the Portuguese national airline is adding two new destinations from its base in Lisbon-Humberto Delgado to the three already existing for this North African country (Casablanca, Marrakech and Tangier). Agadir-Al Massira airport is entitled to four flights per week: departures are scheduled for Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 10.55 a.m. to arrive at 1.35 p.m., with return flights taking off at 2.15 p.m. to land at 5 p.m.

TAP Air Portugal has no competition on this route, as it is on the one linking its capital to Oujda-Angads on Saturdays and Sundays. Flights leave Lisbon at 11:40 am arriving at 1:45 pm, and depart at 2:25 pm to land at 4:30 pm. Remember that Royal Air Maroc, which has just announced 1,400 additional summer flights in particular to France, only serves Lisbon in Portugal.

Tunisia, "a country which conquers for its beaches and its culture", joins the Star Alliance airline network this summer: it now serves Monastir-Habib Bourguiba there, on Fridays, with departure from Lisbon at 10:10 am (arrival at 1:05 pm) and return at 1:55 p.m. (arrival at 4:45 p.m.). There is no competition there either for TAP Air Portugal, just like for Djerba-Zarzis where flights leave on Sunday at 9:55 am (arrival at 12:55 pm) and return from Tunisia at 2:00 pm (arrival at 4:55 pm).

TAP "takes advantage of expansion opportunities to optimize its network" with its four new products to the Maghreb. “The launch of these routes is part of TAP's recovery plan and the gradual revival and growth of its activity, with the strengthening of the Company's position in North Africa, by expanding its offer to four important tourist destinations in the region which have a strong demand from Europe” said Christine Ourmières-Widener, the new CEO of TAP Air Portugal, in a statement.

“In a great confusion of tariffs and rotations, the Moroccan summer takes shape in dry flight. Tunisia holds its place in the panorama of the sun at a good price. Confusion and Malthusianism hit the Algerian sky: it does not fly and when it flies, it is too expensive, some say "it is theft" ", comments, as a keen observer, the owner of the Voldiscount site. com, specialist in low-cost companies.

Remember that for flights purchased until July 31, 2021, TAP allows its customers to change their reservation free of charge and guarantee more flexibility. The change must be made three days before departure.
