The end of the tourist season promises to be very difficult because of the health crisis. For Tunisia, it is therefore important to bet on local tourism, but also to conquer new international markets. Hence its presence in several tourism trade fairs organized in China.
According to the Tunisian embassy in Beijing, a Tunisian delegation took part in the first international trade fair for tourism, services, innovation and trade held in Guangzhou, southern China. The event brought together 51 countries. It was an opportunity for the Tunisian Ambassador to China, Dhia Khaled, and the Director of the ONTT office in China to meet the Chinese press and promote the Tunisian destination.
As a reminder, in 2019, Tunisia received 29,974 Chinese tourists, which is an increase of 7.3% compared to 2018. There is no doubt that this number will suffer a dizzying drop in 2020 for the reasons we know.
