Abu Dhabi authorities have approved two types of tests that will allow entry into the emirate.
The new guidelines will come into effect on Thursday, August 27 and will allow travel to Abu Dhabi within 48 hours of receiving a negative PCR test result.
Starting tomorrow, residents, citizens and tourists will only be able to enter Abu Dhabi with two types of COVID certification.
Either a negative “nasal smear” PCR test obtained within 48 hours prior to entry, or a negative DPI laser test received within 48 hours prior to entry and within 6 days following a negative PCR test.
This means that DPI tests will only be eligible if you also had a negative PCR test last week (which makes it mainly useful for those who might need to enter Abu Dhabi several times in a given week).
Another important update is that you can only repeat each type of test twice in a row over a six-day period.
